Summer camps for children open in Hungary and Serbia

In Hungary, the Bács‑Kiskun Megyei Kórházért Alapítvány celebrated 26 years by operating a free four‑week summer day camp for the elementary‑aged children of staff at the Bács‑Kiskun Vármegyei Oktatókórház. The camp, held at the Szentcsalád Parish in Kecskemét, offers workshops such as crafts, music collection programs, planetarium shows, cinema screenings and other recreational activities, allowing parents to focus on patient care.

In Serbia, the Királyhalmi Homokszem Civil Szervezet organized its sixth three‑day camp for more than 60 children from the surrounding villages, including Hajdújárás, Kispiac, Ludas and Horgos. The program featured traditional crafts, clay modelling, folk dancing, storytelling, archery, horseback riding and various team games, supported by local volunteers and municipal sponsorship. Both camps aim to provide safe, engaging summer activities for children while their parents work.
