Summer Classical Concerts Scheduled in Hamburg and Wangen, Germany

The Hamburg concert duo comprising saxophonist Cornelia Schünemann and organist Andreas Gärtner will perform on 4 August 2026 at St Johannis Church in Petersdorf. Their program, titled “Klangwelten zwischen Barock und Moderne,” blends baroque works by Handel and Marcello with modern pieces by Pasini, Gärtner and Astor Piazzolla, and will be offered free of charge with a donation request.

The amateur‑professional ensemble Harmoniemusik Wangen will present two free wind‑octet concerts in early August: on Saturday, 1 August, at the museum courtyard of the Bockmuseum in Leutkirch, and on Sunday, 2 August, at the historic town wall near the Eselmühle in Wangen. The repertoire includes works by Haydn, Krommer, Arnold and Mozart’s Gran Partita, honoring the group’s founder Alfred Gross. Attendees are invited to donate to support the concerts.
