Summer festivals scheduled for late August in Akashi and Nagoya

Various summer festivals are scheduled to take place in Japan on August 29 and 30, 2026.

In Akashi, the Akashi Noryo Festival 2026 will be held at Akashi Park. The event features over 100 food stalls, shaved ice eating contests, and performances including singing and dancing by local citizens. A Bon Odori dance is also scheduled for the first night.

In Nagoya's Chikusa Ward, Cozy Cozy Coffee will host the ‘COZY COZY FEST’ on August 29. This smaller-scale festival is designed for children, offering a ‘Kids Festival Pass’ that includes drinks and various stall games. Adults can also enjoy food, coffee, and craft beer at the historic coffee shop.
