Summer Hoops basketball tournament draws teams in Lerici and San Giuliano, Italy

The sixth edition of the Summer Hoops basketball tournament is set for July 17‑19 in Lerici, Liguria. Sixteen amateur teams will compete in four groups, with a knockout phase leading to finals on July 19. The event includes side activities such as a dunk contest, a one‑on‑one tournament, live music and other entertainment.

In San Giuliano, the senior leg of Summer Hoops will culminate with finals on July 25. The weekend features an All‑Star game, under‑category matches, and senior games played with special rules—four‑point baskets from midfield and a target of 41 points or two ten‑minute halves. Notable participants include former provincial stars Francesco Bedetti, Nicolò Ronci, and MVP Ilya Saltykov. The tournament aims to bring together athletes and fans of all ages, turning the coastal towns into lively hubs of sport and social activity.
