Summer House Gets Emmy Nod; Canadian Spinoff Planned

Bravo's reality series *Summer House* received its first-ever nomination for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program at the 2026 Emmy Awards, joining titles such as *America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders* and *RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked*.

NBCUniversal’s streaming service Hayu announced a Canadian adaptation, *Summer House Canada*, to be produced in Muskoka, Ontario. The new series, slated for a 2027 launch, follows the franchise’s format of friends sharing a summer house and is part of Hayu’s expanding lineup of original reality content. Hendrik McDermott of NBCUniversal said the adaptation “brings the standout Summer House format to the market,” while executive producer Erin Haskett called the franchise “a beloved global franchise” and expressed excitement about the Canadian version.
