Regional festivals and markets scheduled across Germany and Austria

Various regional festivals, markets, and cultural events are scheduled across Germany and Austria for late August and September 2026.

Music festivals include the Open Flair in Eschwege, the Ewig-Jung-Festival in Eichsfeld, and the Summerklänge in Blomberg. Other musical highlights feature the Summer Festival at the Altusrieder open-air stage and the TaunusRock Open-Air in Taunusstein-Hahn. The Summer Breeze Open Air in Dinkelsbühl has also emphasized sustainability through its ‘Less Trash – More Thrash’ initiative.

Community markets are also prominent, including a night flea market and herb market in Lustenau, Austria, and numerous flea markets throughout North Rhine-Westphalia.
