Summer Pop Tenerife festival launches in Santa Cruz, boosting island's music scene

On 13 September, the Recinto Ferial in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host the inaugural Summer Pop Tenerife festival. The event, presented by radio host Tony Aguilar, aims to cement the archipelago’s role as a major cultural and leisure hub in the Atlantic.

The six‑hour program will feature a mix of pop and urban acts, including Álvaro de Luna, Leire Martínez, Ruslana, Dellacruz, and local star Lucho RK, who boasts over 3.7 million monthly listeners. Internationally recognised performers such as Danny Romero, the Canary‑born group Locoplaya, and artists Lewis Potter, Playacoco and Postcode will also appear, drawing thousands of attendees to the island’s first large‑scale pop‑urban gathering.
