Summer Skin and Hair Care Tips Emphasize UV Protection

Experts advise heightened skin and hair protection during the summer months. Strong UV radiation, heat, and exposure to chlorinated or salty water can damage both skin and hair. Stylists recommend using two‑component sprays for UV defense, rinsing hair immediately after swimming to remove salt, and limiting heat styling, especially for long hair.

Cosmetologists stress regular cleansing, hydration with lightweight water‑based moisturisers, and broad‑spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) for the face and body. They also note increased demand for services such as waxing, eyebrow and eyelash tinting, and refreshing facial treatments during the season.

A Hungarian brand, Carroten, promotes a line of products that combine sun protection with tanning benefits. Its range includes tinted SPF 50+ facial sunscreen, an intensive tanning gel, a SPF 30+ body sunscreen, and an after‑sun soothing cream. The formulas contain natural oils, carrot and coconut extracts, vitamin E and antioxidants to protect skin while facilitating a bronzed look.
