Summer Steel Game launches free recycling education for Italian summer centres
The RICREA‑Eduiren "Summer Steel Game" program is being rolled out across Italy’s summer centres, grest, oratori and youth associations. Starting 22 June, participants will join a live digital lesson followed by interactive missions, quizzes and timed team challenges that teach children and teens how to recycle steel packaging such as cans, jars, bottle caps and spray cans.
Each registered group receives a free "Create Your Track!" board game designed to reinforce the recycling concepts through creative play. Points earned in the quizzes translate into prizes for the centres. The initiative, described by RICREA president Domenico Rinaldini as a way to turn young people into “ambassadors of responsible behaviour”, is offered at no cost and aims to spread environmental awareness throughout the country in the 2026 summer season.
