Summer Terenzi discusses strained relationship with father Marc Terenzi

Summer Terenzi, daughter of pop star Sarah Connor and musician Marc Terenzi, became emotional during a television appearance on “Deep und Deutlich” while discussing her difficult relationship with her father.

Summer described a childhood marked by repeated disappointment, stating she often waited outside her house for her father to arrive as promised, only for him not to show up. She noted that while she does not view him as a fundamentally bad person, his failure to fulfill the role of a father has left a lasting wound. She has since chosen to break contact with him.

In her song “Daddy Issues,” Summer addresses these experiences, describing her father as a “narcissist.” In response to the public discussion, Marc Terenzi expressed deep regret, stating, “I was an alcoholic and drug dependent until a year ago and therefore could not be a good father. Which I deeply regret and am sorry for,” while asking for a second chance.
