Summer theatre festivals enliven towns in Spain
The theater group Dramiño will tour the eight parishes of Salvaterra de Miño with its "Noites de Teatro" micro‑theatre program, beginning on 20 July and continuing through 25 August 2024. Performances are scheduled at local cultural houses in Vilacoba, Meder, Soutolobre, Fiolledo, Lourido, Porto, Pesqueiras and Oleiros, each offering about an hour of comedy and improvisation.
Meanwhile, the Coria International Theatre Festival is staging three free street shows from 17 July to 19 July. The itinerary starts at the cathedral’s Puerta del Perdón and moves through the historic centre with "Druidas. Sabios en la oscuridad", "Vertumno. Siglo de Oro y risas" and "Very Big Pulga", bringing music, humour and family‑friendly performances to the public.
Both events aim to bring theatre to wider audiences and celebrate summer cultural activities in their respective municipalities.
