Summer weather patterns bring heat to Southeast and storms to Midwest US

The United States is experiencing varied summer weather patterns across different regions. In the Southeast, high pressure sitting over the region and the western U.S. will lead to hot and humid conditions in Alabama. This pattern is expected to bring a daily chance of pop-up showers and storms, with daytime highs reaching the lower 90s.

In the upper Midwest, a stable west-to-east jet stream is directing storm activity. Storms are expected to move from South Dakota eastward along the I-90 corridor into Minnesota, potentially impacting Tuesday morning commutes. While temperatures in Minnesota will remain in the low 80s, a cold front later in the week is expected to bring highs into the upper 70s.
