Singer-songwriter Mandy Cole has released a new song titled ‘Small Town’ to commemorate the community of Summerland following the Bald Range wildfire. The wildfire, which occurred on August 7, forced the entire town to evacuate.

Cole wrote the song based on her personal experiences and conversations with neighbors and friends who lost homes or were forced to evacuate. The lyrics reflect the shared stories of residents, while the chorus focuses on the community coming together to support one another and show appreciation for firefighters and those who stayed to protect the town.

In addition to its commemorative purpose, the song is intended to serve as a fundraising tool. Proceeds will be distributed among local individuals and businesses that lost property due to the wildfire.
