Summit Cidades 2026 gathers over 1,000 leaders and firms in Florianópolis

The sixth edition of Summit Cidades 2026 took place from June 23 to 25 at CentroSul in Florianópolis. More than a thousand political leaders and about three thousand public‑sector managers attended, alongside CEOs, investors and academics from across Brazil.

Guarani Sport, a long‑standing education‑sports group, acted as a gold sponsor. Its CEO Giovane Honorato de Carvalho highlighted the event’s role in promoting movement‑based learning, saying, “A importância de estarmos em um espaço como esse é justamente levar tecnologias, iniciativas e metodologias que valorizam o movimento para dentro das escolas.” The company showcased its Cultivar program and the multimedia “Turma do Júnior”, adding interactive activities such as a “Desafio de Chute a Gol”.

The state water‑and‑sewage company Casan also exhibited a stand and delivered two presentations. President Pedro Joel Horstmann spoke on the firm’s operational and financial advances, noting, “Participar do Summit Cidades é uma oportunidade de estreitar o relacionamento com os municípios…”. A Casan manager joined a panel on large‑scale efficiency. The summit was organized by the Fundação de Estudos e Pesquisas Socioeconômicos (Fepese) with partners from public‑innovation consortia.
