SUMO Foundation awards ten inspiring figures in Gorontalo

The Suharso Monoarfa (SUMO) Foundation has presented the SUMO Award 2026 to ten inspiring figures in Gorontalo. As part of this biennial event, each recipient received an appreciation bonus of Rp25 million.

According to committee chairman Syamsu Panna, the selection process for this edition involved a new mechanism that allowed the public to nominate candidates. Out of approximately 100 initial nominations, a professional jury conducted a strict screening process to select the final ten individuals. The awards aim to recognize citizens who have made significant contributions and serve as inspirations within the Gorontalo region.
