Sumo Logic appoints Chris Malone as CEO and Conor Burns as CFO to scale AI platform

Sumo Logic announced the appointment of Chris Malone as chief executive officer and Conor Burns as chief financial officer. Malone joins after 12 years at Applause, where he served as CEO, president and CFO, bringing more than two decades of experience leading growth‑stage software companies. Burns also comes from Applause, most recently as senior vice president of operations, and previously held finance roles at EPFR, SSRX, Ciber, HP and Liberty Mutual.

The new executives will guide Sumo Logic’s next phase of growth, focusing on expanding its agentic AI‑powered Dojo platform for security, observability and cloud operations. The company aims to develop additional AI agents that turn telemetry data into actionable decisions for enterprise security and operational teams.
