Sumy airstrike kills two and injures six, including children
Russian airstrikes targeting the city of Sumy in northeastern Ukraine have resulted in at least two deaths and six injuries, including three children. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that four guided aerial bombs struck the city center.
One of the strikes hit a school building during ongoing classes. Zelenskyy credited teachers and school administration for the timely evacuation of approximately 100 students and staff to a shelter. In addition to the school, damage was reported in a residential area.
Zelenskyy called on the United States, Europe, and other international partners to increase pressure on Russia, stating that the attacks will not cease without such measures.
