Sun Life appoints Darko Mihelic as Head of Investor Relations

Sun Life Financial has appointed Darko Mihelic as Senior Vice President and Head of Investor Relations. Mihelic is scheduled to begin his new role on October 22, 2026, reporting to Tim Deacon, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mihelic joins the company from RBC Capital Markets, where he served as Managing Director of Equity Research, covering the Canadian banking and insurance sectors. His previous experience includes equity research roles at CIBC Capital Markets and Cormark Securities. In his new position, he will lead Sun Life’s engagement strategy and manage relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other key external stakeholders.

He succeeds Natalie Brady, who transitioned to the role of Senior Vice President and Head of Capital Management and Corporate Development earlier this year.
