Sun Moon Lake Fireworks Concert to feature 400-second display

The 18th Taiwan Mobile Sun Moon Lake Fireworks Concert is scheduled for October 17 at the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area. Themed ‘18 Light,’ the event features a 400-second fireworks display launched from three simultaneous points.

Performers include 2025 Golden Melody Award nominee PoLin, singer-songwriter Wen Hui-ru, and the Octagon Male Chorus. They will be accompanied by a 75-piece orchestra led by conductor Chiang Ching-po, performing symphonic reinterpretations of pop classics spanning from 2008 to 2026.

The event is a joint production by Taiwan Mobile and the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration. In collaboration with KKBOX, organizers have launched social media activities and special playlists to engage the public. Attendees wearing high school uniforms or those with the numbers ‘1’ and ‘8’ in their ID numbers may qualify for rock zone seating on a first-come, first-served basis.
