Sun Moon University strengthens industry-academic ties in Chungnam

Sun Moon University has launched initiatives to strengthen industry-academic cooperation in the Chungnam region, focusing on a cycle of talent cultivation, employment, and regional settlement. Through its second annual Industry-Academic Cooperation Partners Day, the university engaged with 24 partner companies and several regional industrial organizations, including the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency, the Chungnam Industry-Academic Convergence Institute, and Chungnam Techno Park.

The program aims to align university curricula with the specific manpower and technical needs of local businesses. Key activities include training for joint R&D project planning in SW, AI, and manufacturing sectors, as well as discussions on improving educational programs to meet industry standards.

Additionally, the university is expanding its focus to include international students. At the 2026 Industry-Academic Cooperation EXPO, the university showcased its comprehensive support system for global talent, which covers everything from language and major adaptation to job training and local community integration, ensuring that international students can contribute to the future of the Chungnam region.
