Sun PhuQuoc Airways expands network with Singapore‑Phú Quốc flight and new domestic routes

Sun PhuQuoc Airways has opened its fourth international route, a daily Singapore‑Phú Quốc service operated with an Airbus A321neo. The airline says the new flight, flight 9G720, runs once a day in each direction and is the first full‑service connection on this sector.

On the same day the carrier launched two domestic services – Hai Phong–Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong–Phú Quốc – each with one round‑trip per day. Both routes reported high passenger loads at launch. The new domestic links are meant to boost regional tourism and connectivity to the island resort of Phú Quốc.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways plans further expansion, targeting Bangkok from August 2026 and additional markets in Malaysia, India, Japan, Russia and Kazakhstan. To support growth it intends to increase its fleet to 32 aircraft by the end of 2026 and introduce wide‑body Airbus A330s from September, enabling longer‑haul operations. The airline’s network build‑out is part of a partnership between Sun Group and Changi Airports International to develop Phú Quốc International Airport as a destination hub.
