In parallel, gardening experts highlighted a range of alternative shading options that can reduce reliance on traditional umbrellas. Long‑term solutions include planting shade trees such as plane or linden, installing pergolas with climbing vines, using large container plants, and deploying flexible shade sails. These alternatives not only provide cooler, more comfortable outdoor spaces but also lower ambient temperatures through plant transpiration.
