OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told CNBC that the primary topic at the summit was making AI cheaper. He referenced the newly released GPT‑5.6 family—Sol, Terra and the cost‑efficient Luna model—claiming a 54% improvement in token efficiency for certain tasks. Altman said enterprises are increasingly focused on AI efficiency and return on investment.
