SUNAT projects over S/214,000 million in tax revenue for 2027

The Peruvian tax administration, SUNAT, projects it will collect more than S/214,000 million in 2027. This target represents an increase of approximately S/13,500 million compared to current expectations.

Superintendent César Luna Victoria presented these figures to the Bicameral Commission of Budget and General Account of the Republic. The projections are supported by favorable trends observed in 2026, where tax revenues from January to August reached S/138,484 million, a real growth of 14.1% compared to the same period the previous year. This marks 27 consecutive months of growth.

SUNAT attributes this upward trend to both administrative efficiency and broader economic factors, including increased domestic demand, a 20.2% rise in imports during August, and higher international prices for copper, gold, and zinc. These factors have expanded the tax base for the General Sales Tax (IGV) and Income Tax.
