Sunbelt Rentals reports record Q1 revenue and raises guidance
Sunbelt Rentals Holdings reported record fiscal first-quarter 2027 results, with total revenue increasing 11.2% to $3.115 billion. Rental revenue grew 12.5% to $2.927 billion, driven largely by a 25.3% increase in the North America Specialty segment and a 7.4% increase in the North America General Tool segment.
Key financial metrics included a 17.4% rise in net income to $438 million and a 23% increase in diluted earnings per share to $1.07. Adjusted EBITDA rose 8.7% to $1.315 billion. The company attributed growth to demand in mega projects, energy, live events, and industrial sectors, noting that work related to the FIFA World Cup contributed approximately 250 basis points to rental revenue growth.
Following these results, Sunbelt Rentals raised its full-year fiscal 2027 guidance for revenue, rental revenue, and adjusted EBITDA. The company also noted the impact of the acquisition of Reliant Asset Management (operating under the Aries brand), which contributed approximately 100 basis points to growth.
