Sunday Isuwa to launch book on Nigeria’s digital media shift

Dr. Sunday Isuwa, News Editor of the Leadership Newspaper Group, is set to launch a book titled ‘Digital Shift in Nigeria’s Newspaper Industry’ on October 29 in Abuja. The publication examines how technological advancements are reshaping newsroom operations, journalism practices, business models, and audience engagement within Nigeria.

The book addresses the transition of legacy newsrooms from print to digital platforms, covering topics such as multimedia reporting, audience analytics, emerging revenue strategies, and the impact of misinformation. Academic contributors, including Prof. Umaru Pate of Bayero University and Prof. Farooq Kperogi of Kennesaw State University, have noted that the work fills a significant gap in African media scholarship by analyzing the ethical, economic, and professional shifts in the news ecology.
