Sunderland captain Granit Xhaka expresses frustration after loss to Coventry City

Sunderland captain Granit Xhaka has expressed deep disappointment following a 3:1 away defeat against Coventry City in the Premier League. The loss leaves Sunderland at the bottom of the league table with only five points collected after nine matches.

Xhaka noted that despite a positive week of preparation and a recent Carabao Cup victory against Brentford, the team failed to execute tactical instructions on the pitch. He criticized the squad for making elementary mistakes, including simple passing errors and losing basic duels.

Looking ahead, the team managed by Regis Le Bris faces two significant home fixtures: a Europa League match against Dinamo Zagreb and a Premier League game against Chelsea. Xhaka called for unity within the club to navigate the current crisis.
