Sung Manh Hung promotes Hmong culture and tourism via digital platforms

Sung Manh Hung, a Hmong man and official in Dong Van Commune, Tuyen Quang Province, is utilizing digital platforms and community initiatives to preserve ethnic culture and create sustainable livelihoods. Through his social media presence, which has garnered hundreds of thousands of followers on Facebook and TikTok, Hung promotes traditional Hmong music, dance, and customs to a global audience.

Since 2022, he has spearheaded a community cultural initiative that integrates traditional performances, such as campfire gatherings and musical exchanges, with tourism development. This approach focuses on interactive experiences rather than static displays, attracting both domestic tourists and international visitors, including overseas Vietnamese, to the region. His efforts aim to prevent the fading of ancestral traditions while providing economic opportunities for local youth and residents.
