Sungrow and Goldbeck Solar partner on 722 MWp Polish solar project

Sungrow and Goldbeck Solar have signed an agreement to develop several large-scale photovoltaic projects in Poland, totaling 722 MWp. The partnership includes the Dobrowo, Kikowo, and Sidlowo sites located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The companies claim this represents the largest PV project in Europe.

In addition to the solar installations, the companies established a framework agreement for the delivery of 1 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS). Sungrow will provide modular inverters and medium-voltage solutions to support the projects. The integration of storage technology aims to manage grid connection requirements, smooth generation peaks, and provide flexibility to the Polish power system, which has seen significant growth in renewable capacity.
