Sungrow launches PowerHarbor energy storage in Benelux

Sungrow has launched its PowerHarbor all-in-one residential energy storage system in its first European markets, specifically the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Unveiled at Intersolar Europe 2026, the system integrates an inverter, battery, backup functionality, and energy management into a single unit.

The launch is timed to address changes in the Netherlands, where the net-metering scheme for rooftop solar is scheduled to end on January 1, 2027. The system is designed to help households increase solar self-consumption and optimize energy use.

Key technical features include a 160% PV-to-battery charging capability and a 0.66P discharge rate that can release full capacity in approximately 1.5 hours. The system includes iHomeManager Mini, an AI-based energy management solution that utilizes weather forecasts, electricity prices, and consumption patterns to manage energy flow. Additionally, PowerHarbor is designed for virtual power plant (VPP) applications and is compatible with 28 VPP platforms across Europe.
