Sungurlare stabbing incident leaves one dead and four injured

A violent confrontation in Sungurlare, Bulgaria, resulted in one death and four injuries following a dispute between two minority groups. The incident occurred on a Sunday evening at a private residence on Ivan Vazov Street.

The conflict, reportedly triggered by long-standing grievances and disputes over horses, escalated into a physical fight and subsequent stabbings. Among the victims, a 45-year-old man died in an ambulance while en route to the hospital. Other casualties include a 65-year-old woman with a head injury, a 15-year-old boy with a stab wound to his back, a 21-year-old man with a shoulder wound, and a 23-year-old woman with a broken shoulder blade. All injured individuals are reported to be in stable condition.

Burgas police have detained eight individuals with criminal records in connection with the incident. Authorities have initiated pre-trial proceedings to investigate the involvement of those arrested.
