Sunny Apricot expands matcha product lineup in Miyagi
Sunny Apricot, a company based in Natori, Miyagi Prefecture, has announced the expansion of its matcha product lineup. Following the success of its 'Barista Grade' starter set, the company will release two higher-tier options on August 25, 2026: the 'Premium Grade' and 'Select Grade' sets.
These starter sets are designed for ease of use, featuring a specialized shaker that allows users to prepare matcha in approximately 11 seconds without a traditional whisk. Each set includes 30g of organic JAS-certified Japanese matcha from a long-established tea producer in Kyoto and a Kaga Yamanaka-nuri matcha shaker.
In addition to consumer products, Sunny Apricot has begun supplying confectionery-grade matcha to Restaurant Cache-Cache, a French restaurant in Iwanuma, Miyagi Prefecture, that has been featured in the 'Gault & Millau' guide for four consecutive years. The company aims to bridge the gap between professional kitchens and home use, promoting matcha as an easy, healthy, and versatile daily habit.
