Sunny Beach ranked second most affordable European family destination
Sunny Beach has been ranked as the second most affordable family holiday destination in Europe, according to the Family Holiday Report 2026 by Post Office Travel Money and TUI. The Portuguese region of Algarve holds the top position.
While the resort remains highly competitive, the report indicates an overall price increase of just over 9% compared to the previous year. Local hotelier Rummen Monchev noted that early reservation rates were approximately 55 euros per person per day, whereas current peak season prices have risen by about 20%. This increase is notably lower than the 50% price hikes seen in other European destinations.
Local businesses report varying perspectives on inflation. While some restaurant owners claim prices for items like coffee and fast food have remained stable, others, including hoteliers and fast-food vendors, report higher costs. Many tourists are opting for All Inclusive packages to manage expenses.
