Sunny Beach: Tax inspectors assaulted and fiscal device stolen
Two employees of the National Revenue Agency (NAP) were subjected to physical aggression during an inspection at a commercial pavilion in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. According to NAP spokesperson Hristo Uzunov, one inspector was pushed during the confrontation, after which an individual working at the site fled the premises with the fiscal device.
Police have been notified, the perpetrator has been detained, and pre-trial proceedings have been initiated. Subsequent inspections of the site revealed various violations.
The incident occurs amid intensified controls by the NAP along the Black Sea coast. Currently, 40 objects in the Burgas region are under surveillance, including restaurants, bars, and shops. Common violations identified during these checks include discrepancies in cash availability and the failure to issue receipts. In some monitored cases, reported turnovers increased by 100 to 400 times following the start of official observation.
