Sunny Deol promotes 'Batwara 1947' with son Karan in Patna

Superstar Sunny Deol and his son Karan Deol visited Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib, sharing a collaborative post that showed them offering prayers and receiving Kada Prasad. Sunny wrote, “Feeling truly blessed to have visited TAKHAT SRI HARIMANDIR JI PATNA SAHIB, the sacred birthplace of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.”

The father‑son duo began a nationwide promotional tour for the upcoming film Batwara 1947, a drama about the 1947 India‑Pakistan partition. The film stars Sunny Deol, Karan Deol, Shabana Azmi, Preity Zinta, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh, is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, with music by A.R. Rahman and lyrics by Javed Akhtar, and is slated for release on 14 August.

During the tour, the team plans to honour ordinary citizens who have displayed courage and compassion, linking the film’s theme of empathy across division with real‑life examples of heroism.
