Sunny Deol stars in upcoming crime thriller Suryaa

The teaser for the upcoming Hindi crime thriller ‘Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak’ has been released, marking Sunny Deol’s return to an intense, action-oriented role. Directed by M. Padmakumar, the film is a remake of the 2018 Malayalam movie ‘Joseph’.

In the film, Deol portrays a retired police officer who becomes embroiled in a criminal investigation following the death of his ex-wife. The teaser suggests the narrative will explore themes of systemic injustice, specifically highlighting corruption and the erosion of trust within the medical system. The protagonist is depicted as a man driven by grief and personal secrets, forced to confront truths from his past while fighting against a failing system.

While the film has generated interest due to Deol’s transformed appearance, some social media reactions have noted the film is an adaptation of an existing successful title. The movie is scheduled for release on November 20, 2026.
