Suno launches Speech AI tool for synchronized voice and music
Suno has launched the beta version of ‘Speech’, a new AI model designed to generate spoken-word audio and background music simultaneously within a single track. Available on web and mobile platforms as of October 1, 2026, the tool allows users to input text, poetry, or ideas and describe a desired voice and musical style to produce a coordinated audio file.
Unlike traditional methods that require separate production and editing of voice and music, Suno’s model generates both elements in one step. Potential applications include bedtime stories, motivational speeches, poetry readings, and ASMR content. While the tool offers creative flexibility, Suno notes that the beta version has limitations, such as occasional inconsistencies in accents and dramatic pauses.
This expansion follows significant growth for the company, which is valued at over $5 billion. CEO Mikey Shulman reported that Suno has surpassed two million subscribers and reached an annual recurring revenue exceeding $300 million. The company continues to collaborate with industry partners including Warner Music Group, BMG, and Believe.
