Sunset on the Rocks music event returns to Rylstone, Australia

Organizer Meg Benson is staging the second edition of the Sunset on the Rocks concert beneath the pagodas of the Rylstone Region Community Association centre on Coxs Creek Road. The event, limited to 140 attendees, will take place on Saturday, September 5, and features Sunshine Coast Hinterland duo Hat Fitz & Cara alongside four regional acts. Volunteers will provide catering and operate a licensed bar, with ticket sales supporting the not‑for‑profit community association.

The inaugural concert in May, headlined by Owen Campbell, attracted 127 people from the Mid‑Western and Lithgow regions, Sydney, the Blue Mountains and Dubbo. Attendees reported making new friends and enjoying the intimate, nature‑focused setting, which Benson says was inspired by the golden light across the nearby Rocky Mountain.
