Sunshine Buns expands to Target stores nationwide

Sunshine Buns, a premium frozen cinnamon roll brand based in Orem, Utah, is launching its products in Target stores across the United States. The brand offers fully baked, microwave-ready buns that heat from frozen in 45 seconds.

Inspired by a 40-year-old family recipe, the products are available in three flavors: Original with Cream Cheese Frosting, Cookies & Cream, and Strawberries & Cream. Each bun contains 8 grams of protein and features real cream cheese frosting.

Following an earlier expansion into Southern California Costco warehouses and regional grocers, the company recently secured $7 million in Series A funding. This investment is intended to support increased production, inventory, marketing, team growth, and new product development. The company has indicated that another major national grocery retailer is expected to carry the brand later this fall.
