Sunsoft classic Ripple Island released on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2

The classic Sunsoft adventure Ripple Island has been released internationally for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Originally published in 1988 for the NES, the title was previously exclusive to the Japanese market, requiring fans in other regions to rely on imports.

Published by Hamster as part of the Console Archives collection, the release brings the 8-bit exploration and narrative-driven game to modern consoles for approximately 7.99 euros/dollars. However, the port is a direct version of the original NES game without English localization, meaning the language barrier remains a significant obstacle for Western players who wish to engage with the game's text-heavy mechanics.
