Sunsoft retro game collection receives CERO B rating

Sunsoft has reported that its upcoming title, ‘SUNSOFT is Back! Retro Game Selection 2’, has received a CERO B rating (ages 12 and up) due to ‘sexual’ content. The company expressed confusion regarding this decision via its official X account.

The collection includes four retro titles: ‘Ikki’, ‘The Mystery of Atlantis’, ‘Super Arabian’, and ‘Maharaja’. The release features modern additions such as save functions, rewind capabilities, and a gallery mode.

Observers have noted that the first installment of the series and previous virtual console releases of these games were rated CERO A. Speculation from users suggests the rating may stem from character designs in ‘Ikki’ or cover art in ‘Super Arabian’. The collection is scheduled for release on December 17 for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows (Steam).
