Sunsure Energy secures multiple solar power agreements in India
Sunsure Energy has signed two significant long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) to supply renewable electricity to industrial manufacturers in India.
In Rajasthan, Sunsure Energy will provide 21 MWp of solar capacity to SPR Auto Technologies and its subsidiary, SPR Takahata Precision India, through a group captive arrangement. This project, part of the 81 MWp Mundsar solar project, will include a battery energy storage system (BESS) to supply approximately 35 million units of renewable energy annually. The initiative aims to offset roughly 24,840 metric tonnes of CO2e emissions each year, supporting SPR Auto Technologies' goal of reaching Net Zero emissions by 2045.
Additionally, Sunsure Energy has entered an agreement with Evonith Steel to supply 30 MWp of solar power to its facilities in Wardha, Maharashtra. The electricity will be sourced from Sunsure’s existing 120 MWp solar park in Dhule, with supply scheduled to commence in October 2026. This partnership is expected to help avoid approximately 34,700 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions annually, aiding the steel manufacturer in reducing its reliance on conventional grid electricity.
