Suntory PepsiCo opens $300 million beverage plant in Tay Ninh, Vietnam

Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Tây Ninh province. The plant, built at a cost of about USD 300 million, spans 20 ha and is designed to produce roughly 1.2 billion litres of beverage annually, with high‑speed can and PET lines. It incorporates advanced automation, digital controls and a fully automated warehouse, and follows LEED Gold standards with renewable‑energy measures and extensive green landscaping.

The factory is expected to create around 3,000 direct jobs and stimulate local supply chains. Company chief Josuke Kimura said the investment “marks a key milestone in our development journey in Vietnam” and underscores a long‑term commitment to sustainable production. The plant also aims to use 100 % recycled‑plastic packaging and pursue net‑zero emissions by 2055.

The opening reflects a broader surge in foreign direct investment to Vietnam, where total registered FDI in the first five months of the year reached USD 24.8 billion, driven largely by the manufacturing and processing sector.
