Sunway Ipoh Mall reaches 80% leasing ahead of 2027 opening
Sunway Ipoh Mall has reached an 80% leasing commitment ahead of its scheduled opening in the fourth quarter of 2027. The RM1 billion development will feature 1.2 million square feet of net lettable area across four floors, accommodating approximately 400 shops.
Sunway Malls announced that the mall will introduce about 100 brands to the Perak market for the first time. Confirmed tenants include anchor brands such as Parkson Elite, Village Grocer, TGV Cinemas, Mr. D.I.Y. Plus, Sunway Ice Rink, Sunway Ipoh Exhibition Centre, and Sunway Megalanes. Other notable retailers joining the lineup include MUJI, Decathlon, UNIQLO—which will host its largest store in Perak at this location—Harvey Norman, and JD Sports.
Sunway Malls Group managing director HC Chan stated that the high leasing rate reflects strong demand for quality retail space in Ipoh, supported by the region's established consumer and tourism base. The group aims to reach 100% occupancy within the next year.
