Sunway Medical Centre launches specialized services for Indonesian patients
Sunway Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur has established the Indonesian Patient Centre (IPC) to provide specialized support for Indonesian citizens seeking medical treatment in Malaysia. The IPC offers a range of services including teleconsultations, second opinions, cost estimations, and assistance with medical visa extensions. To facilitate communication, the center provides native Indonesian language translators and administrative support.
In addition to patient-specific services, the facility utilizes advanced medical technologies. This includes Photon-Counting CT technology from Siemens Healthineers and automated pharmacy systems known as OPAS (Outpatient Pharmacy Automation System) and IPAS (Inpatient Pharmacy Automation System). These robotic systems automate the storage, compounding, labeling, and distribution of medications. Dr. Khoo Chow Huat, Managing Director of Sunway Healthcare Group, noted that Indonesia remains a significant market for the hospital.
