Sunwoo Apartment in Incheon designated for reconstruction

Incheon Metropolitan City has officially designated the Sunwoo Apartment complex in Jakjeon-dong, Gyeyang-gu, as a reconstruction maintenance area. The apartment complex, which was completed in 1986 and consists of 210 households, received a D grade in a 2023 safety diagnosis.

Under the new maintenance plan, the site will be redeveloped into a residential complex featuring up to 25 floors and 299 households. The new development will include 148 units with an exclusive area of 59.99 square meters and 151 units of 84.99 square meters. The project also includes plans to expand existing roads from 8 meters to between 13 and 16 meters to improve local traffic and pedestrian environments.

Estimated contributions for existing owners vary based on the size of the new unit selected. For owners of the current 48.96 square meter units, moving to a 59.99 square meter unit is estimated to cost 254 million won, while moving to an 84.99 square meter unit is estimated at 505 million won. These figures are subject to change based on future appraisals, construction costs, and market conditions.
