Super Centro Brasil de Diagnóstico de Câncer performs 56,500 procedures

The Super Centro Brasil de Diagnóstico de Câncer has performed 56,500 procedures across 25 Brazilian states in 2026. The initiative aims to accelerate cancer diagnosis within the Unified Health System (SUS) by combining national sample processing with regional laboratory support.

Nationally, the average time for releasing diagnostic reports is eight days. Regional Super Centers are currently operational in Manaus, Teresina, and Diamantina, utilizing digital pathology and specialized analysis. In Manaus, the local unit has reduced report turnaround times from over 30 days to an average of 10 days.

The project involves a partnership with the A. C. Camargo Cancer Center, which processes samples sent from various regions, while regional centers provide localized infrastructure to expedite patient care.
