Super Girl Surf Festival to debut in Virginia Beach in September 2026

The Super Girl Surf Festival, the world’s largest all‑female sport, music and lifestyle event, will hold its 20th‑anniversary edition on the Atlantic coast of Virginia Beach from 5‑7 September 2026. About 5,000 female athletes will compete in twelve disciplines, including a World Surf League QS 4000 surf competition that counts toward the Championship Tour.

Organisers expect roughly 200,000 spectators. The free‑entry festival will feature more than 20 live concerts headlined by Switchfoot, Lupe Fiasco and Gym Class Heroes, a festival village with food and beverage stalls, and a Goals Stage offering wellness and fitness classes. Virginia Beach, dubbed the “Birthplace of East Coast Surfing,” celebrates over a century of surf history dating back to 1912.

The event aims to promote women’s empowerment in surfing and related sports while delivering a broad cultural program for attendees.
