Super League Greece resumes with major derby and squad updates

The Greek Super League is set to resume following a two-week international break, highlighted by a major derby between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos at the Karaiskakis Stadium.

Olympiacos is integrating several international players back into the squad, including Retos, Saliaka, and Pedersen, with more expected to join shortly. Meanwhile, Panathinaikos will be without Levi Garcia, who is sidelined for three weeks due to a muscle injury, though Tamborda is expected to be available for the derby.

AEK faces a demanding schedule including matches against OFI, Shakhtar, and Manchester City. Regarding squad availability, Rota is increasing his training intensity, while Stracos and Varga remain fitness doubts. Additionally, Zoubkov has returned to training following his duties with the Ukrainian national team.

In other news, Aris is preparing for the league restart with a focus on team cohesion. Midfielder Martin Hongla has returned to training after recovering from an infection, providing a boost to the team's midfield stability. The club is also monitoring the performance of Benjamin Garre amid interest from Vasco da Gama.
