Super League maintains foreign referees for derbies

The Hellenic Football Federation's Professional Football Committee has decided to maintain the use of foreign referees for major derbies in the Stoiximan Super League. A proposal to allow Greek referees to officiate all league matches will be reconsidered before the end of the first half of the season, provided conditions are appropriate.

Regarding officiating technology, the committee approved the introduction of Goal Line Cameras. These additional cameras, which are distinct from existing Goal Line Technology, are expected to be implemented as soon as possible and may be utilized starting from the quarter-finals of the Superbet Greek Cup.

Additionally, referee appointments for the second matchday of the Super League have been released, featuring several officials with controversial histories in specific matchups. For instance, Stavros Tsimenteridis is scheduled to officiate the Volos vs. Iraklis match, following previous disputes involving Volos regarding his officiating decisions.
